our wedding watch party...

I have to admit I have been so excited to watch the Royal Wedding! What a spectacle to see!! But what made me really excited was to have a watching party partner, Miss Teagan. She actually woke up first, right at 4:07. I turned on the TV and saw that Kate wasn't leaving her hotel until 5:50 so I told Teagan we were going back to bed. We woke up again at 5:30 and watched the rest of the show until we had to get ready to go to the park for Big Brother Gavin. I think I could have stayed in my pajamas all day watching the coverage!

Unfortunately my partner did fall asleep on me as we waited for the kiss. I put her back to bed.
But I then had two other partners to watch with me!
Gavin loved watching all the horses.
The only thing was when he saw her...
It made him think of this man... and monkey...
and he yelled out "Curious George"!

Then, I don't know what this was about, but Gavin decided to take Easter eggs and pretend they were slippers.

Was this inspiration from another princess, Cindrella? I don't think so because he has never heard the story, but we all played along anyway.

I am now off for a nap. Even though I am getting used to less sleep, last night was a little too much... but worth it!

our happy easter...

I am going to write this post fast because a little boy is sitting on my lap and he is more excited to look at pictures than typed words!

We had a great, but busy Easter. Here is a quick look at our day...

We started the morning on the beach for sunrise service. I think Gavin was saying Happy Easter and giving his sister a kiss.

After breakfast at Mark's mom's house we had an Easter egg hunt. Gavin was SO excited to see what the Easter Bunny brought.

I also took some extra pics of these cute people I love...

We then got in our Easter best for dinner at Mark's grandparents' house...

Hope you all had a Happy Easter!!

hippity hoppity easter is on its way...

I am making this post quick because this momma is tired! But I wanted to share this stuff before it was old news!

We have been busy getting ready for the Easter Bunny. Here is what we have been up to this week...

Gavin's big new skill he is proud of is cutting with scissors... so he made and Easter basket where he cut pieces of green paper for grass and made glitter eggs to add. What kid doesn't love glitter? He had so much fun using the glitter he made one more big egg. He was very excited about the BIG egg. He is into anything big, especially getting BIG chips. :)

On Friday the kids and I (that sounds so weird!) made Easter treats.

I tried to go simple with everything this holiday. Life with a newborn is a bit crazy so we just made Rice Krispi treats and added Easter M & M's. Gavin loved stirring the marshmallows as they melted. The only problem was the M & M's all broke apart in the process of mixing and they are pretty sweet, but I will say the pan is already half way gone.

Today we dyed eggs. Mark and I felt pretty good that we survived dying eggs with a 2 year old. And yes, you will notice Teagan would not let us leave her out of the big activity.

...explaining to baby sister about the process.
 ...check out that tongue!
We did have one spill right after this last picture. Luckily it was the yellow dye on the dark wood floors. Whew.

Tonight before Gavin's bedtime we placed the Easter eggs outside for the Easter bunny along with a carrot.

I have to say the boy is so pumped for this holiday. He has been talking all week that the Easter bunny is coming. I am pretty excited too and must go. A little girl needs to be fed soon and I won't think about through the night yet! We are headed to sunrise service tomorrow on the beach, my favorite part of Easter. Hope you have a wonderful day!

what is gavin doing right now...

My Nana always asks either, "What new things is Gavin doing now." or "What is Gavin doing right now." It always makes me smile because I think it is so cute and I know she just wants to feel involved and up to date on his little life. So here is what Gavin has been up to...

That is right, he is learning to swim! He just completed his first class today. Teagan and I got to go see him today too for the first time. I was so excited. His special comments on his report card said great job from Miss Kay, his teacher. He loved it. He is not quite ready to be the next Michael Phelps, but he'll get there!

We also have been working hard getting ready for the Easter Bunny coming tonight. I am going to try to post again tonight to show you what we have been up to!

I am off for now. My new little swimmer is in the pool now and I am ready to join him!
